JOB SUMMARY:
The postholder will be responsible for supporting the drive for customer and consumer demand through commercial marketing activity. This will involve co-ordinating the timely execution of marketing plans and projects, and working closely with the Brand teams and European Marketing Manager.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Co-ordinating all locally planned advertising and promotional activity.
- Maintaining schedules for all key local marketing projects and product launches.
- Managing the PR/PO process for the marketing department.
- Developing, planning and facilitating all local web, email and social media activities, liaising closely with the E-commerce manager.
- Planning and co-ordinating the provision of point of sale materials, in collaboration with the Brand team.
- Supporting in the organization of trade and consumer shows.
- Managing the compilation and production of trade catalogues.
- Maintaining price lists, order forms, and other appropriate records and files to ensure the effective execution of the marketing plan.
- Providing regular reports and updates as required by the Sales & Marketing Director and European Marketing Manager.
- Embedding best practice and consistency across the region in support of the brand values and objectives.
- Collating information and data from the external pro team.
- Supporting the European Marketing Manager to measure the return on investment for all marketing expenditure.
- Supporting the drive to meet customers’ expectations across the region.
- Supporting business growth across the region through marketing.
- Promoting collaboration, teamwork and empowerment across all functions and locations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent, ideally in a relevant business discipline would be desirable.
- A further marketing qualification or working towards this, eg CIM, would be highly advantageous.
- Previous experience in an administrative role is essential, ideally in a similar marketing environment.
- Strong time management, communication and project management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- IT savvy, with a strong working knowledge of all Microsoft products. Knowledge of SAP would be advantageous.
- A strong understanding and passion for achieving growth through Marketing.
- A knowledge of the fishing market would be a distinct advantage.
- A team player and committed to the customer and the company.
- The ability to demonstrate a positive attitude, flexibility and willingness for continuous improvement and learning.
